Shaina Eckhouse, MD

Bariatric Surgeon

Shaina Eckhouse, MD, joined the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery as an associate professor after completing a minimally invasive and bariatric surgery fellowship at Duke University. She also completed a general surgery residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston and earned a medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.

Dr. Eckhouse is involved in patient safety and quality improvement for the Adult and Adolescent Bariatric Surgery Program and the Section of Minimally Invasive Surgery.
