Jayme Sparkman, ANP-BC

Jayme Sparkman, ANP-BC, is the weight loss surgery program’s nurse practitioner. She provides patient education and couseling, sees patients at post-operative visits and performs laparoscopic gastric banding adjustments (adding or removing saline to increase or reduce the size of the band).

Jayme earned her nurse practitioner degree and a master of science in nursing degree from Goldfarb School of Nursing at Barnes-Jewish College. She is board-certified as an adult nurse practitioner, meaning she has undertaken a credentialed course of study in her field and achieved certification. After working in several other medical areas, Jayme joined the weight loss surgery program in November 2009.

She enjoys working with patients in the surgical weight loss program because she often sees other medical problems resolve and significant improvements in the patient’s quality of life.
